New daytime location: With Child, 705 Pape (just south of the Danforth). This is a baby store that has a room for us to use. Kittenpie is bringing some toys; BYO snacks, etc.
Evening activities remain the same (details below)
Friday afternoon all-ages at Withrow Park (south of the Danforth, betweenLogan and Carlaw), 2:30 - 5:30(ish)
*At the very north edge of the park, beside the tennis courts, there is a playground area mostly designed for the younger set, fully fenced in, with a shady clubhouse overhang, with small slides and baby swings and a sandbox. This is a perfect place. (Thanks Kittenpie!)*
Friday evening at The Chelsea Room, 923 Dundas West (at Grace), 8pm to ???

Just watching CP24 as I get ready for work and it looks like rain today is possible. Fingers crossed that it doesn't.
I am going out this morning to ask at three nearby places with community rooms to scout an alternate location. I'll post here immediately if I find one and put a sign on the wall of the clubhouse in the playground. If nothin else, the clubhouse has a substantial overhang, so we could meet there and then decide which coffee shop to take over. We'll leave a sign for the others.
I'd suggest Ms. Miriam's Drop-In, but it's only open until 4.
It would be great for another time, or in winter.

The Timothy's in Carrot Common is pretty accomodating. Cakes won't sit still very long anymore though.

OKAY, I BOOKED US A ROOM!
It's in a fantastic baby store on Pape, just south of Danforth on the East side. (705 Pape) It's called With Child, and they have a nice-sized room at the back where they do baby classes, so they have some cushions, a change station, bathrooms, etc. I will bring a little bin of toys and some goldfish crackers. She said snacks and drinks are okay within reason.
It is ours 2:30 to 5:30 but we definitely have to be out before 6 so she can close. I'll be there at 2:30. I will go by the park on my way to put up a sign for anyone who might have misseed this.
Will also email bad mother and scarbie - please pass on the word to anyone else you have email for.

Great news that Kittenpie found a back up plan - you ROCK! Not sure I can keep my five year old soccer player entertained indoors. I may come alone (would that be weird???) and let him hang with his dad instead. I can help with the babies. Or would you prefer I just join in for the evening part so I don't show up like a weirdo to the kiddie event without a kid ?? Please let me know here or at sunshinescribeblog@yahoo.ca.
